[Projects](https://knowledge.corfix.com/articles/corfix-admins?hsLang=en#projects) September 29, 2026 # How do I create a new project in Corfix? ## This article will summarize how to add a new project in the Corfix web dashboard so your team can start assigning workers, forms and time to it. **Overview** Projects are the jobs or sites your team works on. Every form, time card and photo in Corfix can be tied to a project, so setting one up is one of the first things to do for any new job. It takes less than a minute. **How It Works** 1. In the left-hand menu, click **Resources**, then **Projects**. 2. Click **Add Project**. 3. Enter the **Project Name**, for example *Building 1*. 4. Enter the **Project Number**, for example the job number your office uses. 5. Open the **Status** drop-down and select **Active**. 6. Click **Save**. **Good to know:** if you choose a start date in the future, the status shows as **Upcoming** until that date arrives. **What's next?** From the **Project Details** page you can: - **Add a form:** send a form to the project with the **Add** button under **Recent Forms**. - **Add a task:** create a task with the **Add** button under **Recent Tasks**. - **Check activity:** see photos, binders, cost codes, forms and time cards for this project. **Use Cases and Benefits** - **Kick off a new job:** set up the project before day one so the crew can fill out forms on site right away. - **Match your office's job numbers:** use the same project number as your accounting system so reports line up. - **Plan ahead:** create future projects now.
