[Templates](https://knowledge.corfix.com/articles/corfix-admins?hsLang=en#templates) September 29, 2026 # How do I create a form template from a document using AI? ## This article will summarize how to use Build with Corfix Assist to turn your existing documents into draft form templates, and how your monthly generation limit works  **Beta feature:** Build with Corfix Assist is currently in **beta**. AI-generated templates are drafts, so **always review and verify the content** before publishing a template to your team.   **Who can use this:** Only **Admin users** can build templates with Corfix Assist.   Overview Have a paper form, PDF checklist, or photo of an inspection sheet your team already uses? Instead of building the template from scratch, upload the document and Corfix Assist will create a **draft form template** for you. Think of it as a head start: Corfix Assist does the first pass of building, and you review, edit, and finish it. Each document you upload becomes its own draft template. --- How It Works 1. Go to your **Templates** page in the Corfix web dashboard. 2. Click **Build with Corfix Assist**. 3. Click **Choose files** and select the document(s) you want to convert. - Accepted file types: **PDF, JPG, or PNG** - Maximum file size: **100 MB per file** - You can upload **1 file, or up to 10 files at once** 4. Click **Generate templates**. 5. Corfix Assist builds your drafts in the background, so you can keep working while it runs. 6. Open each new draft template and **review it carefully**. Check field names, question types, and required fields, and make any edits needed. 7. Click **Save** when the template is ready for your team. --- Monthly Generation Limit To keep the feature running smoothly for everyone, each company has a monthly allowance. | | | | --- | --- | | **Monthly limit** | **50 successful generations per company** | | **Shared across** | All users on your company account | | **Resets** | On the **1st of every month** | | **Files per upload** | Up to **10 at a time** | ### What counts toward your limit? - **Counts:** Each template that is **successfully generated**. One document = one generation. - **Does not count:** A generation that **fails**. You can try again without losing any of your allowance. - **Still counts:** A template that was generated successfully and **then deleted**. Deleting a template does not give the generation back, so review your files before uploading. ### What happens if I reach the limit? If your company reaches its monthly limit, or you try to upload more than 10 files at once, you'll see a message showing: - Your limit - How many generations you have **remaining** - When your limit **resets** Your monthly limit can't be changed from your account settings. If you have questions about your usage, reach out to your **CSM**. --- Use Cases and Benefits - **Go paperless faster:** Convert your existing paper forms and PDFs into digital templates in minutes instead of hours. - **Onboard new sites quickly:** Upload a batch of site-specific checklists (up to 10 at a time) and have drafts ready to review in one go. - **Digitize photographed forms:** Snap a photo of a printed inspection sheet or hazard assessment and upload it as a JPG or PNG. - **Keep your format familiar:** Your team keeps using the questions and layout they already know, now in Corfix. --- Tips for Best Results - Use **clear, readable** documents.
