      September 19, 2022 Corfix Product Update

      This article will outline what was updated on the Sept 19th, 2022 update for Corfix.

      Admin

      Admin Chat

      We now have a chat that allows easier access to our team! This will be our most prioritized form of communication, so please have your questions come through this chat to get answers as quickly as possible. It is currently only available on the admin(desktop version). You can simply come in here and use the ask a question bar or start a chat with our team! Have a chat you want to hop back into after?       External QR code scanning

      You can now have external users to your company create and sign forms! With the QR code add you can now create external or internal QR codes. This will allow you to select and Project and Template that you would want a worker external from your company to fill out. The process will work as follows:

      1. They will then be prompted to fill in their information(First/Last name, email, and company). 
      2. They will then proceed to fill out the template and sign off on the form at the end. 
      3. The worker that filled out the form will get a pdf of the form emailed to them and you will have a copy waiting for you in Corfix! 

      This feature comes with the QR code add. QR Codes can be put on equipment, on different sites, or you can have them posted up on a board on a site with titles above them to keep the forms that need to be signed off on top of mind if you are struggling with adoption. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for more info.


      Filter on Flagged Forms

      You now have a filter for Flags on the Form table! This is useful for finding the Red/Yellow flags for review or singling out these forms for an easy export! 


      Link Binders to Projects (Can also view on Mobile)

      You can now set up Project specific Binders! A feature that has been sought after by a number of you! Within Binders you can set in what Project the Binder should be associated with. This will allow for a seamless experience when in Projects on the mobile or Admin when in the Project overview to have access to all the information you need in one spot.


      Timecard Approval and Settings

      Timecard approvals are here! This feature is only on the Admin. You can now set permissions for who can approve time cards, and allow for your supervisors/foremen/project managers to go in and approve Timecards that have been submitted by Workers. Will Timecards that aren’t approved be exported, you ask? No they will not, only Time Cards that are approved in Corfix will allow export to your preferred method of exportation. Remember there are 2 toggles for this setting, one in Timekeeping settings and one in the Manage Roles settings.


      Rename of Timecards

      This one is a small edit but you will now notice that Timecards in the admin has changed to Timekeeping. Just goes to show the level of detail we apply here at Corfix!


      Export by Project for Jonas

      If you utilize the Jonas software export you will find this feature very useful! Now when you export for Jonas a binder will download. This binder will have a separate csv. file for each Project. This will make for a more efficient export and import into Jonas! Even if you don’t use Jonas you can still use this export if you would prefer your timecards grouped by Projects, be mindful that there are different fields that are pulled in this export so choose whichever export works best for you. 


      Export Worker Groups for Timecards

      Within the CSV. default export you will now be able to export the Worker Groups. This can be information you use or simply delete within Excel!


      Project Geofencing Radius Exceptions

      You can now exempt Projects from Geofencing. If you have Projects like an office that you want workers to Punch in to anywhere but want to make sure that other sites are still following the Geofencing rule, you can choose the office Project to opt out and you can set in specific rules for certain projects.


      Rename Permission Sets to Roles

      You will now notice that some Permission Sets will have different names. This is in effort to make sure the permissions are as clear as possible.


      Permission UI Rework

      Permissions are now a lot easier to navigate! We have added some new UI when selecting editing permissions making it easier for you to find things quicker.


      Permissions to Remove Menu Items

      You can now remove menu items on the Admin and Mobile side. This will clear up space and filter all extra noise so Workers can focus on what they need to get done within Corfix.


      Permissions Based on Group

      Now you can have a Worker locked to a Group. This can be useful if you have Workers that only work on 1 site and you don’t want them seeing any other information outside of their site or crew. Having this feature on will only show information that pertains to their Worker group. With this feature keep in mind that you will have to keep up on editing your Groups accordingly!


      Create View Cases Permission

      Cases is our concept of creating a connection between Forms and Tasks. You can now hide Cases from Workers that do not need to see them within the Permission Set toggles.  If you haven’t used Cases before and are interested in exploring this feature please check out this Corfix Guide article for more information.



      Mobile

      Dashboard Shortcuts

      Gone are the days of going into menu items to create Forms, Tasks, and Timecards! You will now notice that there is a plus button on the mobile Dashboard. This button grants you easy access to create a Form, Send out a Task, or Punch in/Out or create a Timecard right on the first page of Corfix!


      Send and Sign Button for Creator

      When signing off on a Form as a creator you will notice you can now send and sign. This will kick you right into the page to sign off on the Form.


      Corfix Guide Link

      We now have the Corfix Guide link within the mobile app. This can easily be accessed in the field by workers for any questions that they have. Ask a question and get an answer at your fingertips!


      Kiosk Mode for Punch Clock Rework

      Kiosk mode now has a new look along with new functionality. Kiosk mode for punching in/out of site now has a more traditional field time management look to it. You will have the 


      Favourite Jobs for Punch Clock

      Workers will notice that they will be filtered for the Worker group they are in by default. 


      Manage Timecards Changes

      We have optimized the Manage Timecard portion for supervisors on the mobile. Projects is no longer a required field and the name has changed slightly to just “Manage Timecards”. Having Projects not required will allow for supervisors to just select a Worker and review their Timecards. As mentioned above we do have the Timecard approval available for the Admin.


      Search for Description in Cost codes

      When selecting Cost Codes on the mobile app when Punching out, you can now search by either Cost Code or Cost Code description, making it easier for the Workers in the field.


      Workers Can View Past Timecards

      Workers can now view past time cards so they can do their own audits. All that has to be done is find the Timecard they want to review and select it.



      Outstanding issues resolved by this update

        • Tasks duplicating when creating.
        • Large font messing with Corfix app formatting on mobile.
        • Can't scroll further in Sheets integration in Admin.
        • View Workers Certs not working in Workers Tab.
        • Project Schedules defaulting back to AM.
        • No auto punch out.
        • No reason for flagged time cards given.
        • QuickBooks desktop Customer Identifier.
        • Various other bugs.
