There are two ways you a person can sign through the external portal. [Internal Worker](https://knowledge.corfix.com/articles/how-do-i-get-someone-to-sign-through-the-external-signing-portal#internalworkersigning) [External Worker](https://knowledge.corfix.com/articles/how-do-i-get-someone-to-sign-through-the-external-signing-portal#externalworkersigning) 1\. A Corfix user who has an account can receive email notifications to direct them to the external signing portal. The worker needs to make sure their notifications are set up to "Email". Once they are assigned to sign off on a form, they will receive an email notification bringing them to the web browser External Portal where they can sign a form. Step 1: Make sure the worker has their email notifications turned on for "New Form (Signature) and "Incomplete Form". ![IMG\_9219](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9219.png?width=250&height=541&name=IMG_9219.png) Step 2: Assign that worker to sign off on a form and they will receive an email. ![IMG\_9220](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9220.png?width=246&height=532&name=IMG_9220.png) Step 3: The worker can click "View now in Corfix" and it will open the External Signing Portal where they can click to sign. ![IMG\_9222](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9222.png?width=250&height=541&name=IMG_9222.png) External Worker 2\. When adding an external signer to a form, you can now add their email. This will allow a link to be sent to their email so that they can sign from afar.  Step 1: Assign the external person to sign off on the form and include their email. ![Screen Shot 2023-05-07 at 9.04.31 AM](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screen%20Shot%202023-05-07%20at%209.04.31%20AM.png?width=499&height=282&name=Screen%20Shot%202023-05-07%20at%209.04.31%20AM.png) Step 2: That external signer will receive an email prompting them to open the form and sign. ![IMG\_9220](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9220.png?width=249&height=539&name=IMG_9220.png) ![IMG\_9222](https://knowledge.corfix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9222.png?width=249&height=539&name=IMG_9222.png)   -
