What is Scheduling Overview, and how do I turn it on?
See the staffing status of every project across the week in one colour-coded view, without opening a single card.
Quick answer
Click Overview at the top of the Scheduling page, next to Detailed, to switch the board from individual scheduling cards to a color-coded status view showing every project's staffing at a glance.
Overview
Scheduling Overview is now live. It's built for large construction operations where head office needs a fast read on staffing across many projects at once, rather than opening each one individually. Instead of the usual grid of cards, Overview shows each project as a single row with a colored bar for every day of the week — so you can scan staffing status across your whole portfolio in seconds.
Before you begin
- Scheduling Overview is available to admins in the web portal.
- You'll get the most value from it once you have multiple projects with schedules already in place — it's a summary view, not a place to build new schedules.
Steps
- Open the Scheduling page as you normally would.
- Click Overview, next to Detailed, at the top right of the page.
- Read the color bars. Each day's bar is colored by staffing status:
- Green — all required workers and assets for that day are mapped.
- Yellow — only some of the required workers and assets are mapped.
- Red — no workers or assets are mapped yet.
- Gray — no schedule exists for that project on that day at all.
- Use the status filters as usual. All, Needs Attention, Complete, and No Schedule work the same way here as in the Detailed view, narrowing which project rows are shown.
- Switch back anytime. Click Detailed to return to the standard card-based grid when you need to actually edit a schedule.
Use cases
- Daily head office check-in: scan a dozen or more projects in one glance to see which ones are fully staffed, partially staffed, or not staffed at all for the week.
- Portfolio-level triage: spot the red rows across a large operation first, since those have nothing assigned yet, then work through yellow.
Troubleshooting
I don't see an Overview button. Confirm you're on the Scheduling page and have admin access — this is a newly released feature, so also confirm your account has been updated to the latest version.
What do the colors mean? Green means every required worker and asset for that day is mapped. Yellow means only some are mapped. Red means none are mapped yet — a card exists for that day, but it's completely unstaffed. Gray means there's no scheduling card for that project on that day at all.
What's the difference between red and gray if both mean nothing is staffed? Red means a card was created for that day but no workers or assets have been assigned to it yet. Gray means no card exists for that project on that day — see What "No Schedule" means and how to fix it.
Can I edit a schedule from Overview? Based on current source material, Overview appears to be a read-only summary — switch to Detailed to make changes. Verify with product before stating this definitively.
