      Template Type

      This article will summarize the Template Type configuration in the Template Builder

       

      Template Type is found under the Show Options button in the Template Builder.

      Template Type

      What It Does:
      Defines how the form behaves and where it's used.

      Options:

      • Inactive: Hidden from users. Use this while building or editing a template that isn’t ready to go live.

      • Form: The default type. Used for safety forms, inspections, and regular submissions.

      • Project Note: Saves submissions in the Project Notes section rather than under Forms.

      Best Practice:
      Keep templates as "Inactive" until finalized to prevent early use.
