This article will summarize how Resolution Forms can be used to track progress during the onboarding process. By linking key documents and checklists to specific Tasks, you can ensure that every required step is completed before moving forward.
Step 1: Create an Onboarding Task
-
Navigate to the Tasks tab in your dashboard.
-
Click Create Task.
-
Give your task a clear title, such as “New Hire Onboarding” or “Worker Setup Process.”
-
Add any task instructions or details that outline the purpose and expectations.
- Assign your preferred Task Type – choose the appropriate type, such as “Employee Onboarding,” to help with filtering, reporting, and tracking progress.
-
From the Assigned To field, choose the appropriate worker from the dropdown list.
-
Set Priority and Due Date as needed.
Step 2: Attach Onboarding Resolution Forms
-
In the Resolution Forms To Create field, select the form(s) that need to be completed during onboarding.
-
Examples:
-
Worker Information Form
-
Training Video Acknowledgment
-
PPE Distribution Checklist
-
Safety Orientation Quiz
-
-
-
You can attach multiple forms to ensure all onboarding requirements are covered.
-
You can also upload additional resources directly to the Task, such as:
-
Employee handbooks
-
Site maps with emergency locations
-
Policy documents or training materials
-
-
Click Save to finalize the setup.
Once saved, the onboarding task cannot be completed until all attached Resolution Forms are filled out and submitted.
Step 3: Worker complete the Resolution Forms
-
The assigned user will open the onboarding task and see the linked Resolution Forms.
-
Each required form must be completed (e.g., safety training acknowledgment, tool issuance confirmation, policy sign-off).
-
Once all forms are submitted, the task status can be marked as Complete.
Step 4: Review and Record
Supervisors or administrators can review and download completed forms under Task > Resolution Forms.
Using Tasks with Resolution Forms provides a single view of onboarding progress, making it easy to track form completion, review resources, and monitor each step efficiently.
Tip: You can also use Subtasks to break the onboarding process into smaller steps. This makes it easier to monitor progress, track completion of individual items, and ensure nothing is overlooked during the onboarding process.
