This article will show you how to change the way document numbers are assigned.
To access the settings, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on "My Account Details" from the left side menu
Step 2: Click on the edit button beside "Company Details"
Step 3: Scroll down until you see "Document Number Increment"
These are the options you can choose from:
Global:
This is how document numbers are assigned by default. Every form that is started will push the document number up.
Template:
This will assign a set of document numbers for each template. Every time a template is used the document number will increase for that specific template.
Project:
This setting will move document numbers based on Forms filled out for a specific Project. This will allow you to track the document numbers for a specific Project. Each Form filled out for that Project will increase the document number.
Please keep in mind that deleting a template will restart the document number back to 0 if using the Template or Project settings. Making a copy of a template will start a new document number as well.
