How do I add a comment to a scheduling card?

Leave a note on a card that the assigned workers can see from the mobile app.

Overview

Comments give you a way to pass along details tied to a specific day's assignment — anything the crew needs to know beyond who's on the card. They're admin-only to add, but visible to anyone assigned, so workers can read them straight from their mobile schedule alongside the workers and assets listed on that card.

Before you begin

  • Adding a comment is done by an admin in the web portal.
  • The card must already exist — see How do I schedule a worker to a project for a day? if you haven't created one yet.

Steps

  1. Open the card. Click it to open the Edit Assignment drawer.
  2. Find the Notes field. This is where comments for that card go.
  3. Type your comment. Add anything the assigned crew should know for that day.
  4. Save. The comment is now attached to the card and visible to everyone assigned to it, including on the mobile app.

Use cases

  • Site instructions: leave a gate code or parking note for a crew unfamiliar with a site.
  • Schedule context: note a non-standard start time or a special requirement for that day only.

Troubleshooting

Can workers reply to or add their own comments? Based on current source material, comments are admin-only to add; workers can view but not add comments. Verify with product if two-way commenting exists elsewhere before publishing anything to the contrary.

Will workers be notified when I update a comment? Yes, if it's on a current-day card — workers assigned to that card are notified when a note is updated and saved. See How workers are notified of their schedule for full timing.
