How do I schedule a whole worker group to a project?
Assign an entire crew to a project and day in one motion instead of adding each worker separately.
Quick answer
Drag the worker group's card from the Resources panel onto a day cell the same way you'd drag an individual worker — every member of the group is assigned to that project and date at once.
Overview
Once a worker group exists, it behaves like a single resource you can schedule. Instead of dragging each person onto a card one at a time, you drag the group itself, and every worker in it is added to that project's card for that day. This is the main time-saver worker groups offer over scheduling individuals.
Before you begin
- Scheduling a worker group is done by an admin in the web portal.
- The group must already be created — see Creating a worker group.
Steps
- Open the Resources panel and switch to the Workers tab, where groups appear alongside individual workers.
- Find the group you want to schedule.
- Drag the group onto a day cell. Drop it on the project's row and the date you want, the same way you would an individual worker.
- Confirm the assignment. Open or expand the card to see that every member of the group now appears under Workers.
- Save. The card updates with the group's members counted toward the required total.
Use cases
- Regular crew deployment: send a standing crew to a site in one drag instead of adding each person individually.
- Fast full-day staffing: fill most or all of a card's required worker count in a single action when a group matches the day's needs.
Troubleshooting
Only some of the group's members show up on the card. This isn't confirmed in current source material — verify with product whether partial-group scheduling is possible or if the full group is always added together before publishing.
Can I remove one person from a group after scheduling the whole group? Removing an individual from a card follows the same steps as removing any worker — see Removing or unscheduling a worker. This doesn't remove them from the group itself, only from that day's card.
