How do I schedule a worker across multiple days at once?

Assign a worker to a project one day at a time, or set up a repeating schedule so you don't have to rebuild it every day.

Quick answer

There's no single action that schedules a worker across several different days in one step. Instead, either drag or assign the worker onto each day cell you need, or — if the same days repeat week to week — use the Repeat toggle on a card to set a recurring schedule.

Overview

There are two common situations here, and they're handled differently. If a worker is on the same project for a run of different, one-off days this week (say, Tuesday and Thursday but not the days between), you assign them to each day cell individually — there's no multi-day drag gesture. If instead the worker is on the same project the same days every week (say, every Monday through Friday), recurrence is the better tool: set it up once on a card and it repeats until an end date you choose. This article covers the manual, day-by-day approach; see Setting up a repeating schedule for the recurrence path.

Before you begin

  • Scheduling across days is done by an admin in the web portal.
  • The project and worker must already exist in Corfix.
  • Corfix allows a worker to be assigned to more than one project on the same day, so double check each day as you go.

Steps

  1. Open the Resources panel and find the worker under the Workers tab.
  2. Assign the first day. Drag the worker onto the day cell for the first date you need, or use the + and the Edit Assignment drawer.
  3. Repeat for each additional day. Go back to the Resources panel and drag the same worker onto the next day cell you need, for as many days as required.
  4. Check availability as you go. Hover the worker's card in Resources to see "X of 7 days this week" with each day marked free or not, so you don't double-book them without meaning to.
  5. Save each card as you go — each day is its own card, so each needs its own save.

Use cases

  • Irregular coverage: a worker covers a project on non-consecutive days this week, like Tuesday and Friday only.
  • Short-term assignment: a worker fills in for a few specific days without needing an ongoing recurring schedule.

Troubleshooting

Is there a faster way than doing each day one at a time? If the days repeat on the same weekdays going forward, use Repeat on the card instead — see Setting up a repeating schedule. For a one-off mix of days this week only, assigning each day individually is the way to do it.

How do I know if the worker is already busy on a day I want to assign them? Hover their card in the Resources panel to see their availability for the week before you assign them.
