How do I get notified when a worker's certification is about to expire?

Keeping certifications current is critical on any job site, and a lapsed certification can stop a worker from being able to work. To help your team stay ahead of this, Corfix keeps an eye on every worker's certifications and sends an automatic alert as an expiry date gets close.

By default, Corfix sends each worker a push notification (an in-app alert) when one of their certifications changes to either of these statuses:

• Expire Soon — the certification is approaching its expiry date.
• Expired — the certification is now past its expiry date.

Every worker can decide how they'd like to receive these alerts. The two options are Email and Notification (the in-app push alert), and each worker can set this for themselves.

Once a certification's status changes to Expire Soon or Expired, Corfix sends the alert automatically. No action is needed to turn this on — it's on by default for every worker.

To change how you receive these alerts:

1. Select the menu in the top right of the Corfix App.
2. Select your name.
3. Select Manage Notification Preferences.

From there, you can choose whether certification alerts come through as an Email, an in-app Notification, or both.

Please note: These preferences are set per worker. Each person on your team controls their own notification settings, so encourage your crew to set the option that works best for them.

• Stay compliant on site. Workers are reminded before a certification lapses, giving them time to renew before it affects their ability to work.
• Fewer surprises for supervisors. Because the alert fires automatically, no one has to manually track expiry dates across the whole crew.
• Choose the channel that fits. Office-based staff who live in their inbox can opt for Email, while field workers who keep the app open can rely on in-app Notifications.
• Cover both bases. Anyone who doesn't want to miss an alert can turn on both Email and Notification.
