What does "Needs Attention" mean on a Scheduling project?
A Needs Attention project has at least one card missing its required workers or assets for the week.
Quick answer
Needs Attention means one or more of a project's scheduling cards for the visible week don't have all their required workers or assets filled. Open the flagged card and fill the empty slots to clear it.
Overview
Every scheduling card can have a required count for workers and assets — for example, 2/5 workers means 5 are required and only 2 are assigned. As soon as any card for a project falls short of its required counts, that whole project is marked Needs Attention for the week, even if its other days are fully staffed. This is different from No Schedule, which means a project has no cards at all. Needs Attention means work has started but isn't finished.
Before you begin
- Clearing a Needs Attention flag is done by an admin in the web portal.
- You'll need available workers or assets to fill the missing slots.
Steps
- Filter to Needs Attention. Click the Needs Attention status filter to see only projects with an understaffed card this week.
- Find the flagged day. Look across the project's row for a card showing a count below its required total, such as 2/5 workers.
- Open the card. Click it to open the Edit Assignment drawer, or hover/tap the expand icon to see who's already assigned and which slots say Not assigned.
- Assign the missing workers or assets. Drag them in from the Resources panel, or add them directly in the drawer.
- Save. Once every required slot is filled, the card updates and the project drops out of Needs Attention — assuming no other day for that project is still short.
Use cases
- Daily gap check: filter to Needs Attention each morning to catch understaffed shifts before the crew is due on site.
- Last-minute coverage: quickly spot which project still needs one more worker or piece of equipment before end of day.
Troubleshooting
I filled the card but the project still shows Needs Attention. Check the project's other days for the week — one fully staffed card doesn't clear the flag if another day is still short.
Can a project be Needs Attention and Complete at the same time? No. If any card is short, the whole project is Needs Attention for that week; it only becomes Complete once every card meets its required counts.
