How do I set up a repeating schedule?
Use the Repeat toggle on a card to schedule the same days automatically instead of rebuilding them every week.
Quick answer
Open a card's Edit Assignment drawer, turn on Repeat, choose which weekdays it repeats on under Repeat On, and set a Recurrence End Date. Save, and the card recreates itself on those weekdays until the end date.
Overview
Recurrence saves you from rebuilding the same card week after week. Instead, you set it up once — which weekdays it applies to and how long it should keep going — and Corfix handles recreating it. This is the better tool when a worker or crew is on the same project the same days every week, as opposed to manually scheduling each day individually.
Before you begin
- Setting up recurrence is done by an admin in the web portal.
- A Recurrence End Date is required whenever Repeat is turned on — there's no open-ended recurrence.
Steps
- Open the card you want to make recurring. This opens the Edit Assignment drawer.
- Turn on Repeat. This reveals the recurrence options.
- Choose the weekdays under Repeat On. Select from Monday through Sunday (M T W T F S S) for the days you want the card to repeat on.
- Set Ends to On, and choose a Recurrence End Date. This is required — recurrence always needs an end date.
- Save. The card now recreates itself on the selected weekdays until the end date you set.
Use cases
- Standing crew rotation: set a crew to repeat Monday through Friday on the same project without rebuilding the card each week.
- Fixed-term recurring coverage: set a recurrence end date that matches a project's known end date, so the schedule stops automatically when the work does.
Troubleshooting
Can I set a recurring schedule with no end date? No — Recurrence End Date is required whenever Repeat is on.
I need to change a recurring schedule partway through — does it update every future card? This isn't confirmed in current source material — verify with product whether editing one recurring card updates the whole series or just that instance, before publishing.
