This article will summarize the Corfix Product Update for December 30, 2023.
Happy New Year from the Corfix team to you and yours. To ring in 2024 we have a bunch of exciting new features for you.
Admin/Mobile Safety
Ability to sign PDF resources in Binders. (Admin and Mobile)
This feature allows you to sign off on documents in Binder much like you already do with Forms. This feature is ideal for having workers sign on company policy documents or safe work practices and procedures to acknowledge they've read them.
Acumatica Integration(Projects and Workers)
We have introduced an integration for Acumatica which will allow you to create Projects and Workers within Acumatica and sync them to Corfix.
Automated Actions
You can now set up an automated actions workflow with Templates and Tasks. This workflow allows you to set triggers within your Templates that will auto-generate a Task. This is great for assigning, tracking, and documenting things like corrective actions and preventative actions.
Binder QR Codes
You can now create a QR code and assign Binder resources to it, allowing anyone on site to access relevant safety documentation. This QR code is scannable even by those without a Corfix account.
Task Types
You can now create Task Types. Task Types go hand in hand with the automated actions feature mentioned above, and will help to track corrective actions and preventative actions. Task Types are categories of Tasks, like "Corrective" or "Preventative" to help so you can better organize and manage tasks that are being completed. You can also create your own Task Types for other use cases.
Additions to Reports
We have added the following additional reporting capabilities:
- Flags on Forms
- Task Types
- Groups
- Certifications Notes (see below)
Certification Notes
We have added a notes field for certifications. This field is open to be used for any additional information you would like to track for a certification. You can also export certification notes into a Report.
Force Hand Signature
Force hand signature is a new company-wide configuration option. This feature can be toggled on at a company level so that everyone is required to use a manual signature when signing Forms/Resources.
Duplicate Roles
You can now duplicate Roles. This is designed to help you save time in creating a new Role that will have a similar access format as an existing Role. Because there are dozens of functions which can be toggled on or off to tailor access by Role, this cloning action can help to save time. In the Roles page you'd use the Choose Action dropdown to Duplicate and then make the minor changes to the new Role.
Projects no longer required on Form QR codes (Internal Form only)
You can now have QR codes for forms set up where it you only assign a Template. This is useful feature if you want to take advantage of the QR code feature and you have QR codes for equipment inspection where that equipment may move locations where you will not have to create another QR code.
Bulk Creation of Individual Tasks/Parent and Child Tasks
You can now create individual tasks in bulk and assign them all at once. This ensures everyone has a reminder for the task, and enables you to track that each worker has completed the task. A task assigned individually to multiple workers in this way will show up once on your task screen (as a parent task). Clicking the parent task will bring you to a new screen showing all of the workers assigned the task (child tasks) and the status of each individual's task.
Improved PDF viewing (Mobile)
We have improved the experience around PDF viewing in the Corfix app, specifically around larger PDFs. You can now seamlessly view those larger complicated drawings right on your phone with ease.
Admin/Mobile Timekeeping
Form completion required on Punch in and Out (Punch clock only)
We have created an area of cross-functionality between Timekeeping and Safety for those who use both modules. You can now require workers to finish any Incomplete or Outstanding Forms before they are able to punch in or out. This will help reduce the need to chase workers for Form completion.
Exports
We have added a few enhancements to existing exports and added in new timekeeping exports.
Existing
- QuickBooks desktop(QBD): We have added the ability to tag each entry as Billable before exporting. This will check off the Billable box automatically when importing into QBD.
New

- SAGE 300 Construction and Real Estate (SAGE 300 CRE)
Worker and Project numbers in Timekeeping tables.
The Timekeeping tables now contain more information. Both the Worker and Project columns will now contain the name and number of each in the same cell.
Punch in/out photo
We have added in the company-wide option of requiring workers take a photo of their face when punching in/out. This feature is great to prevent buddy punching and ensure punch times are valid.
Update timecards while punched in (Mobile)
We have now allowed for Workers in the field to add information to their timecard at any point during the day. This gives the Worker freedom to add pictures, notes, and cost codes during the day so they do not forget.
